About the Foothills Hayride
The heritage of making traditional music in the foothills region of the Blue Ridge in Stokes County has been happening for as long as anyone can recollect. The renowned Sauratown Mountain region in northwestern North Carolina has produced many of the most recognized Bluegrass and Old Time musicians in the United States.

The Foothills Hayride is a musical experience in Stokes County that contributes to the promotion of local musicians and the venues in which they perform. Musical gatherings such as the Foothills Hayride have been going on for some time. It is our goal to assist those in search of quality Bluegrass and Old Time music. Additionally, the Hayride periodically gathers to sponsor large events such as The Foothills Hayride Bluegrass Festival at Jomeokee Campground and The Stokes Stomp in Danbury, NC.

We are dedicated to bringing the best performers possible and their musical talents to these festivals.
